Black Winter Wool Coat

Very warm, very good quality, fery flattering!

I have enjoyed this jacket decently since 2018. It's now 2025. *The pros are: I got my style. It's probably my warmest jacket. I also work a job that's warm, so I don't dress warm during those days in the cold months. I have a small locker. These things mean I need my jacket to be warm without a ton of layers. This fits all those boxes. Mine has fleece in the sleeves which very much helps with that. Also, it's well made and has stayed in one piece. *The cons are: It doesn't have pockets. The hood and caplet are not attached. They fall off the jacket very easily. I've tried pinning and sewing them on which has created holes, but it helps me not lose them. I purchased the jacket because of the style, and personally don't like that they're detachable. It has faded (don't mind that too much). It attracts fur (not necessarily a problem that can be solved by anyone). It's very tight in the shoulders; Customer service did offer a bit of help with my second try. I purchased two sizes, and even the second one was still too tight to have good range of motion... I've managed. Note this is all from 2018. I hope the quality is the same and that the fleece is still in the arms. I purchased another style so I could have pockets and more room to move. It didn't have fleece in the sleeves, making it not work well for me, and has sat in my closet more often than not. Overall; well made, warm, and great for heavy use. However, I wish it had pockets, room in the shoulders, and secured pieces.

INCREDIBLE !!!! so comfortable !! so warm !! pockets so deep !! such nice quality !! the wind doesn't pass through, and it's keeping me toasty through a canadian winter ! i was worried it would be too thin or the buttons would stop too high up to keep it windproof, but it has been performing better than i could've ever hoped for, and i got so many compliments on it at choir practice ! the hood is very big and dramatic which is very cute, the capelet fell at first when i took the jacket off, but i just slipped the tying strands through the last buttons that holds the hood on the jacket and its stayed on sturdily since. i was very hesitant to buy a jacket online without being able to try it on, especially since even in real life i have trouble finding jackets that don't feel tight or restrictive around my shoulders since they're kinda wide compared to my other measurements (80cm bust, 70cm waist, ~42cm shoulder width) and was confused on which size to pick with the "adding 5cm-10cm to usual measurements" guideline, but i contacted them and they kindly answered that it doesn't really apply to the shoulder width much, and the L/XL fits me perfectly. with the waist cinched at the back it fits my figure like a glove ! I did replace the lace they provided with a shorter cute black silk ribbon since the lace was so long, and it's absolutely perfect. i've now earned the title "little black riding hood" at my choir. only warning is that it is a pet hair MAGNET !! as felt usually is, so keeping it out of furry friends reach is crucial, and i didn't expect the UPS fee to be so hefty, but that's not these guys' fault. will definitely buy from here again !

very warm! Unfortunately though, my coat had loose buttons (can easily be mended). Also if you have a large bust (DD+) size up one more time as there is some gapping in between the chest buttons- especially when you cinch the back! All that aside, it is my favorite jacket!

Néanmoins, il est bien ajusté. Prendre une taille au dessus . Je mets du S, j'ai pris S/M et il est un peu serré mais bien ajusté. Je fais 1,57 et il m'arrive juste en dessous des genoux. C'est parfait.

Les poils sont doux et la capuche tient bien en place, elle est grande et confortable.

A contrario, la matière du manteau ressemble un peu à du feutre et n'est pas extrêmement chaud. Bien à 11 degrés minimum.

This coat is beautiful. I have been eyeing their coats for so long, but as they are over seas (I am US based), Ididn'tknow if their size chart would be iffy or fit strange. I was pleasantly surprised when I worked a local event and one of my co-volunteers had one I could try on. She was Medium, and it almost fit, but now I could compare my size to the size chart. The size chart was pretty close for the coat, and it fits perfectlyfor my needs.
I live in the Great Lakes region next to one of the giant water bodies, and the weather is rather temperamental. So far, this coat has kept me warm to almost -6C. Every other time I went out it was snowing or blizzard, so Ididn'ttry to put it to the test for that. But I love her. I love the fleece lining and the wool is heavy and sheen. It's a lovely coat.

A very comfy and warm coat! I measured myself and according to those measurements I went for a size XL/2XL. Next time though, I might go for a size bigger as the sleeves are a little short for me (which makes that the inside fabric foulds outwards quite a bit) and the shoulders could've had a little more room. It's just a little too tight for me now to wear a thicker sweater underneath, but besides that, it's a wonderful and flattering coat!

Overall I like the coat. It’s beautiful and seems well made (only time will tell for sure how it holds up). Initial impressions are good though. Reasons for 4/5 stars: 1. The lining in the sleeves is weird. It seems like it is too big, so the lining pushes out of the cuffs. I had to pin it inside to keep the lining in the right place. 2. I sized up and added to my measurements as suggested and it is still a bit snug at the upper part of my chest (above my bust). So sizing up is required, I’d go up another size if I had it to do again. 3. The cord used to lace the back is incredibly long. I had to cut it down. Not sure why it was so long. I’m 5’10” and 195lbs, US size 12 or 14. I got the XL/2XL.

I just received my coat, and I am highly pleased! The material (while heavier than a down jacket) is warm and durable, perfect for Canadian winters. It keeps me well insulated, with no cold air finding its way in. The cape part juts out at the sides a bit too much for my liking, but it's easily removed. The hood is also great, being stylish, warm, and spacious. I recommend sizing up, especially if you have a larger chest, or if you plan on wearing layers. Kudos goes to Mel from the customer service team, who did an amazing job helping me find the right size. It fits like a dream! Would recommend to any goth looking to stay warm and stylish during mid-winter. I can already tell this coat is going to serve me well for years.

Shipping was super fast. Quality of the coat is great. I'm about 5'10" (177cm) tall, with a 29" (~73cm) waist and a 37" (~93cm) bust and I got size L. Definitely add the recommended 5-10cm to your own measurements and probably a little more to account for possibly bulky clothing underneath the coat or potential weight fluctuations. The corset on the back still resulted in a snug, very flattering fit. I also have broad shoulders and I don't feel restricted at all. Very, very happy with it.

I have this coat in two versions, old and new one, so I see how many things improved. While the old one had some flaws and weird sizing, the new one is finally perfect (almost - I'd only add 1 or 2 buttons at the bottom). New version is warmer and it finally has big pockets! I also love a decent size detachable hood and cape, giving it the black riding hood vibes ;) Sizing changed for the better, it fits bust now and the waist can be tied with lacing at the back. It's suitable for colder days and still looks effortlessly lovely.
